POLL: 73% of Americans would try to lose weight if the government offered an incentive

The question of how and where to apply incentives to behavior change is a popular source of debate.  Forbes has a good article summarizing research that shows that the majority of Americans would try to lose weight if the government offered an incentive.  Of those that would try, 51% indicated “I would try really hard” to lose weight if offered an incentive.
